"don't stress, don't stress, don't stress.."

Assalamualaikum.

It seems like our days are getting really busy this semester. And some of us just couldn’t stand it and get stressed. Like me.

Here are some tips I would like to share on how to relieve stress.

First, TAKE A DEEP BREATH. Yeah. A really deep one. You will feel like a part of your stress will be gone as you exhale out. Do it a couple of times.

Second, do some EXERCISES. How about spend some time jog around the lake? I do it every week on weekend with my roommates if I got nothing to do in the morning. Regular exercise will help release the stress and tension in the body. Plus, you will be much healthier. What do you feel when your body feels much stronger? You will feel great and happy of course! HAPPY = NO STRESS!

Third, HEALTHY EATING. We need to eat balanced food. I have a friend whose just eat rice and a chicken for lunch. Hey, where’s the vege girl? Eating healthily can give you more energy, and help you lose weight too. Eat at every 3-4 hours, but in a small quantity. Biscuits or bread can do.

Next, HAVE ENOUGH SLEEP. There are people who prefer to sleep at 3 a.m. in the morning, just because they have a quiz the next day. For me, even if you study like your brain going to explode, just imagine how are you going to take the quiz in well condition? You will feel sleepy and hard to concentrate on the questions. In return, you’ll get exhausted and the result of the quiz will not be as good as you wish. So guys, sleep early. You’ll wake up in the morning and feeling fresh to start a new day.

Then you need to READ THE QURAN. At least one page every day. Many of us haven’t read it since we’d “khatam”..right?? Well, it’s not wrong to start it back. It will give an ultimate calmness to our heart. Just try it. It’s like, we're having a "Bluetooth connection" with ALLAH. I’m not kidding!

Another way is to SHARE YOUR STRESS with your friend. Sometimes it helps to release some of the stress by talking to a close friend or family about your problems.

Lastly, for guys, NO SMOKING. Even all the smokers keep saying that it can release their stress, but it’s only for a short period man. Once the relief wears off, you’ll feel worse. So try to avoid it.

I hope these will help us all to get through those tough times on this 2nd semester. We could become a happier and calmer person.

most of your tips i've been applied it but for me, the way i releasing my stress is by having a bath...
when we stress, temperature in our body will be increase....(dunno wether its true or not but i always experience that)..
so better you frequently "bersiram" to balance your body temperature....

  6. Thanks Tiqa. This article is really inciteful and also helpful. :)
Anyway, some of us neglect our health without realising just because we're busy with studies, quizzes, and tests. So that should be avoided.
I also think that we should not push ourselves too hard. We have to know our limits.
By the way, I can admit that I never follow these rules. I sleep late, eat unhealthily and seldom exercise. I lead a somewhat unhealthy life. Like they say, "Old habits die hard"..:p
But i find taking deep breaths very helpful.

    owh,so interesting...
    but,
for some poeple they have their way to release tension...
i think the best way is SOLAT and READ THE QURAN,not just read...
    try to understand...
because all happen in your life,in world,in THE LAST DAY,
    all had in THE QURAN...
    a 'BLUETOOTH CONNECTION' with ALLAH...
the answer for you to life...
    dont be so arrogant,
    the world is FAKE!
    i'm not the perfect,
    but
    people can change.
